McGuigan The Shortlist Riesling 2018
If you love Riesling this one is an absolute classic, Hallidays said it was “Utterly Beguiling” and rated it a 96/100, The 2019 Shortlist Riesling by McGuigan Wines is fresh, crisp and well balanced.
The palate of this wine delivers intense citrus notes of lemon and lime held together with a persistent acid line ensuring great ageing ability. The wine is attractive on the nose with lifted floral notes of jasmine and lemon sherbet.
The Eden Valley Riesling is perfectly matched to shellfish, freshly shucked oysters and delicate seafood, balancing with its crisp acidity.
While this tastes fantastic right now, it is also an excellent wine to cellar and would still be in peak form (or more likely even better with some age (Cellar up to 2031)
