JUUL Australian Champagne – Holydene

96 pts, Trophy Winner Australian Sparkling Show 2019, Trophy Winner Australian Sparkling Show 2018, Gold Australian Sparkling Show 2016

Tasting Notes
This sparkling was produced from cool climate Chardonnay grapes from the Mornington Peninsula Vic. The wine has been made by “Methodé Traditionelle” which has been left on the yeast lees prior to disgorgement. This wine is delicate with a nice balance of acid. It has the aromas of lemon & apples and a few smells of the bakery. The palate is long with a lovely soft fruit character.

Food Matches
The wine finishes crisp & bone dry which works brilliantly as a hunger inducing aperitif wine or as a partner for oysters natural.

Brand

Hollydene Estate

Hunter Valley Hampers proudly features wines from Hollydene vineyards. Karen Williams, Hollydene Estate's Executive Director and Owner, began her grape-growing journey in 2004 with the acquisition of Roseglen, a vineyard near Rosemount Estate. She pursued certifications in Viticulture and Winemaking while creating her 'JUUL' label from select grapes. In 2005, Karen expanded by purchasing Hollydene vineyard and Wybong vineyard the following year, consolidating them under the Hollydene brand. After exclusively supplying grapes to Arrowfield Estate Wines, Hollydene took over the Arrowfield facility in 2011. This strategic move revitalized the iconic establishment in the heart of the Hunter Valley.
