The 2018 Vintage was the hottest year on record and will be regarded as one of Audrey Wilkinson's greatest years for red wines for the level of fruit intensity, with the Lake Shiraz being the pinnacle. Set next to the spring fed dam near the back gate of the property this shiraz block is referred to simply as ‘The Lake’. Floral, fresh fruit aromas lift from this wine with a tightly wound red and blue fruit core on the palate supported with subtle use of French oak for structure and typical Hunter Shiraz notes of dark spice for complexity.

Lots of gamey, savoury, earthy regional character on the bouquet, but the red berry fruit is the anchor.
